I did another Itsy Bitsy Baby outfit (pink) and put the finishing touches on the Ladybug outfit (note the “homemade” ladybug on the headband :-)). One naked baby to go – in the back row of the picture. This one I want to make a little reindeer outfit – cause that is what my Mina wore at Christmas time. I was able to pick up a tan coloured bamboo #10 crochet cotton at Herrschners today. I am using this particular doll because, Mina, when she is uncertain about something puts her two little hands behind her ears,and this particular doll reminded me so much of her.
Last Itsy Bitsy for this vacation
Vacation
One week of my summer is spent at Paul & Marjorie Snyder’s trailer at Miller Lake. Marj and I take seriously our sitting and crocheting (or other needlework) time. This year we crocheted clothes for little dolls.
I crocheted the yellow and white outfit and the black and red outfit. My third outfit is not yet finished.
Glasses holder
I bought a pair of funky reading glasses, as my vision is not what it once was. I also bought some coloured beads and made glasses holders.
Work in progress
I can’t have just one thing in progress at a time – that would be boring,
Things I’m working on – http://www.crochettoday.com/crochet-patterns/wrap-re-make using Patons Fresco in a buttery yellow (hook size 6mm);
http://www.crochettoday.com/crochet-patterns/runaway-menagerie-mama-baby-panda – I’ve started the Panda, using #10 crochet cotton (so it will be miniature) in off-white and black, of course, using 150 mm hook. My eyes certainly are what they once were; I’m finding it harder to do this fine stuff than I used to.
I made http://www.crochettoday.com/crochet-patterns/blooming-sun-hat using Bernat Handicrafter Cotton (4 ply worsted weight). It is a little big but perhaps if I wash it in hot water and dry it in the hot dryer it will shrink some.
I ran out of the pink yarn for the watermelon sweater, so it is on hold for the moment.
