I’m working on two slideshows for Bloomingdale Mennonite Church – one of pictures from the past year and one of pictures from many past years. These will be shown at the Annual meeting in May. I have pictures that Dad took, Volker took, as well as pictures from various people from the congregation. I am working on getting permission to use background music from Bryan Moyer Suderman.

The lamp in this picture was found under the steps when the church was renovated in 1984. Once it had been part of a “chandelier” that hung in the sanctuary. During the 200th Anniversary celebrations it was used as a logo.

It was a lovely day, so I took my camera on my walk through Meinzinger and Lakeside parks

The weather has been absolutely amazing – 27°C, lots of sunshine. The sun did desert us this afternoon. Wind picked up. I was working on smocking Mina’s crocheted dress when I noticed an unusual light outside. I grabbed my camera and went out onto the balcony. I got these shots:

A few minutes later the sky turned very pink with dark clouds roiling in front:

While looking for smocking patterns the other night I found some old black & white photos – pictures Volker had taken many years ago.
